To keep up with growing demand, Research Tool Corporation is looking to hire experienced machinists. Below is a brief job description. All interested candidates are required to fill a Job Application Form.

Job title: CNC Machinist
Employment Availability: Full Time
Job Position: Regular Employment
Hours per week: 40-60

Job Location: Ovid, Michigan

Salary: From $10.00 to $18.00 per hour

Job Description:

Program and operate 3 axis , 4 and 5 axis a plus CNC Machine Centers
Develop cutting programs for various types of raw materials: steel (4140, D2, etc), aluminum, plastics (stainless, titanium, etc.)
Be able to operate CNC Machine Centers using various types of controllers – (Fanuc and Haas)
Posses full knowledge of standard production practices and quality control procedures
Responsible to develop and execute cutting programs to meet company production and proficiency standards
Responsible to run at least two machining centers at a time
Responsible to follow instructions/directions to maintain quality production
Responsible to conduct inspection of components being machined to ensure conformity to quality requirements
Use standard measuring devices as needed (calipers’, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
Perform machine maintenance as required
Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and immediate supervisors
Responsible to develop and produce appropriate fixtures to ensure stable platform for machining operations
Set-up and maintenance of cutters for CNC equipment (tool changers)
Safely Operate appropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and cranes
Responsible for keeping work area safe, productive and clean
Performs other duties as assigned
Responsible to effectively communicate with other departments to resolve problems
Work is performed in a typical job shop environment

Job Requirements: This job requires a high school diploma and 5 ears of experience

Additional Requirments:

At min. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 5 Years of proven CNC machining experience
Experienced with Fanuc, Haas, Controllers
Knowledge of “G and M code” programming
Able to program at machine general milling of corner radii ,slots ,drill cycles, thd milling
Ability to select the proper tooling, speeds and feeds for optimum material removal on complex, tight tolerance components
